Casper has always needed more space for youth sports activities. In 2021, a small group of people decided to create a solution for our local problem. The idea started as a single court facility for low-cost rent only. The more the idea was discussed within the community, the more it quickly grew.
Could they build enough courts to host regional or maybe national tournaments and help the economy of our community and state? Could they add indoor turf to support the multitude of outdoor sports programs struggling to train in the winter? Could they add programs to help reduce injuries in our athletes while promoting long-term physical and mental wellness?
The answer was “Yes they can.” The solution was the WYO Sports Ranch.
So the WYO Complex was created as a 501(c)3 tasked with raising the money to build the WYO Sports Ranch, overseeing its daily operations, and ensuring its success long into the future.
The WYO Complex Board of Directors are proud of what the WYO Sports Ranch has become and what it brings to our community. It is far more than a simple practice facility for youth. It is a facility for hosting local, regional and national tournaments, for community events and trade shows, for school district support, a place for beginners and elite athletes alike, and a facility with growing opportunities and possibilities for Casper and Central Wyoming.
