WYO Sports Ranch Club Volleyball is one tier in the WYO Sports Ranch Youth Volleyball Academy that brings year-round volleyball opportunities to our youth.
The WYO Sports Ranch Volleyball Club provides athletes access to a high-quality, competitive program focused on developing volleyball players at all levels.
Our program is comprehensive, athlete centered, and offers a well-organized club experience.
Team information and placement will not be determined solely by the number of athletes registered for tryouts. We will only offer the number of teams we have high-quality coaches for. We aim to ensure that each WSRVC team is properly staffed and positioned to provide athletes with appropriate development and the experience expected from our program.
Athletes will go through a 3 day tryout process evaluating these 4 areas:
Tactical Skills: Court awareness, decision making, transition play, and how athletes read the game.
Technical Skills: Serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, defense, and play.
Physical Skills: Speed, agility, jumping ability, endurance, and coordination
Social/Emotional Skills: Cooperation, communication, respect/discipline, problem solving, confidence, engagement/focus, and competitiveness.
Included in the player club fee are two required tournaments this season — Ice Breaker (February 6-7) and Frosty Frenzy (February 27-28).
Additional Tournament Fees: Each team will have the opportunity to choose additional tournaments to participate in throughout the season. If your players' team choose to play, the registration cost will be divided equally amongst the players and payment will be required prior to rostering. In addition, if a tournament is located outside of Casper, Wyoming, there will be a $50 coaches travel fee assessed to each player.
We are offering a Homestead league that will run month to month in February, March, and April.
Homestead League: Parents can expect to see their athletes practice and play in a more developmental setting. Games can be stopped for corrections or talking points. Equal play for all scrimmages and games.
Club Team: Parents can expect their athletes to be pushed by coaches to be the best volleyball player they can be. 10U and 12U are equal playing time for pool and bracket play – except for top U12 teams (Designated during try-outs, these teams may have the ability to make play time competitive and based off position play). 14U and up will be competitive play during pool and bracket. Select Team: Parents can expect these teams to be as competitive as possible. No play time guarantees for pool or bracket play.
